It's great on our tack and does not leave a residue to attract dirt and dust.  I like to put it on my braided rawhide when doen as it seems to replenish the natural oils that are dissipated while braiding.  I use saddle soap as a lubricant when braiding and it tends to drive out the oils in the hide.  Put a little Saddle Secret on and wipe off any excess with a clean rag."
